Hi there! I’m Brooke Ellis, the founder, recipe developer, and enthusiastic taste-tester behind Cookule. If you’ve ever found yourself standing in the kitchen, craving something delicious and inspiring to cook, you’re in the right place. I started Cookule with a simple belief: food has the power to create memories, spark joy, and bring people together, no matter the occasion or time of day.
My philosophy is that recipes don’t have to be complicated or intimidating. Whether it’s breakfast to start your day off right, an elegant dinner, irresistible desserts, or crowd-pleasing appetizers, there’s something here for everyone. Over the past decade, my recipes and food photography have been featured in several national cooking magazines, I was a finalist in the “Best New Food Blog” competition (2021), and Cookule recipes have been shared in collaborations with beloved brands and home chefs alike. I’m proud of the awards my desserts have picked up at local fairs, but what really matters to me is helping real people cook with confidence.
As I look back, I’ve learned that the most important ingredient is always connection — not just between flavors, but between people. Cookule is my way of sharing that with you, one delicious recipe at a time.

How It All Started
My journey began in my grandmother’s kitchen, surrounded by the smells of baking bread and the laughter of family. It was there that I first realized how powerful a simple meal could be. One rainy afternoon, we whipped up a batch of chocolate chip cookies that didn’t turn out quite right, but the memory of that shared experience made me fall in love with cooking.
Since then, I’ve always turned to the kitchen as my creative playground. I love experimenting with new ingredients, revamping classic dishes, and putting my own spin on beloved family recipes. What I cherish most is the way food can turn an ordinary day into something special.
Starting Cookule was my way of giving back to that tradition. I wanted a place to document my experiments, share what works (and what doesn’t), and, most importantly, invite others to join me on this flavor-filled journey. My hope is that Cookule inspires you to make your own memories around the table.

With over 12 years of hands-on experience in both home and professional kitchens, I know what it takes to make recipes that truly work. I’ve trained with local chefs, completed advanced baking workshops, and spent countless hours perfecting my approach — from ingredient sourcing to food styling and photography.
Every recipe on Cookule is tested multiple times in my own kitchen. I take pride in my meticulous process: researching ingredients, double-checking measurements, and making sure instructions are clear enough for cooks of any skill level. Quality is always my priority — if a dish isn’t something I’d proudly serve to my friends or family, it won’t make it onto the site.
A lot of care goes into every post, not just in the cooking but also in the way I photograph and present each dish. I want you to feel like you can almost taste and smell what you see on your screen! My goal is to make you feel at home here, inspired and empowered to try something new.
Beyond Cookule, I spend my time exploring farmers’ markets, reading up on food science, and traveling in search of new flavors. This ongoing exploration fuels my recipes and keeps my passion alive.

With a background in food science and a lifelong love of baking, I’m always looking for new ways to make home cooking fun and accessible. I believe the best recipes are the ones that tell a story, and I can’t wait to help you write yours. When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me hiking with my dog or trying out new coffee shops.
